I was supposed to come back March 14. I didn’t. I couldn’t. While I was out so much has happened in your world and mine that it is hard to know where to start. As I was closing shop 5 weeks ago the US Senate was waiting to vote the impeachment to condemn ex- President Trump for the shameful acts that took place in DC on Jan 6. That did not happen. Not enough votes. Some Republicans voted yes, but most remained glued to their seats in spite of overwhelming video evidence of Trump’s incitement to riot.

Case in point was Mitch McConnell in a shameless declaration post-facto where he placed the blame for the whole disaster squarely on Trump’s shoulders but refused to impeach because of a delay in introducing the documentation, a formality for which he himself was directly responsible.

Check mate Ponce Pilatus.

The Covid-19 catastrophe continued like wildfire and uncovered yet another ugly side of human beings. It laid bare the trafficking, backstabbing and corruption surrounding the vaccine in different countries.

Peru led the way with what is now known as “Vacunagate”. Former President Vizcarra (a.k.a Alligator) shamelessly got himself, wife, cousins, and whoever else was around vaccinated last year.Five hundred people jumped the queue amongst them two former Cabinet members; all this while Peruvians were suffocating at hospital’s doors for lack of beds or oxygen. This unrepentant cynic is now running for Congress.

Argentina followed suit with “Vacuna Vip” –somehow the Argies always manage to make things sound more chic. Once again the mighty and powerful, all of them kirchneristas, got ahead of the rest of the hoi polloi.

Kiciloff, the infamous “Kichi”, Governor of Buenos Aires Province and Cristina’s pet got his jab at the tender age of 49. Want more? The rest of South America went the same way, except Chile which is the third country in number of people vaccinated, behind Israel and the UEA. The UK follows. The EU is far behind. Why Chile? For the same reason you don’t offer a bribe to a Carabinero (Chilean policeman) or a Bobby: no corruption.

Brazil is perhaps the saddest case. In this largest country of Latin America, led by Bolsonaro, a bully and Covid-19 denier, people die like flies. A raging pandemic with no vaccine in sight -since Covid-19 was an invention that would just disappear one day, what was the point? Sounds familiar? And now it has morphed into a brand new strain of its own.

The EU casted doubts on the severe consequences of getting the Oxford Astra Zeneca vaccine; Covid-19 wouldn’t kill you but a blood clot will. It was pay time for Brexit and breaking up with Europe.

The French sounded specially unforgiving with “the perfide Albion” once again the sworn enemy of France; the Germans not far behind. It is all about the rage of being dumped.

“Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned”.

This brings us to the Oprah-Queen of trash, Meghan- Queen of Woke and the Hapless Harry debacle.

Where to begin? With the Hollywood stage set, the barely repressed glycerin tears, Oprah commiserating over these two victims of immeasurable wealth, privilege and honors?

What should we feel sorry about first?

Their place in the world, the positive influence the RF wields in the UK and the Commonwealth due to all the hard-working Royals starting with the 94-year old lady who has never, ever, complained? “Life ain’t easy for no one”.Same applies to HM. She must’ve had moments of great sorrow and great distress but kept her eye on the ball which is more than you can say about these two narcissists.

Should we pity Haz and Megs palatial homes, their jets, their staff, their clothes? Never ever having to lug an overweight bag to the check-in counter praying the airline will take it? Trying to find a doctor for a sick child in the middle of a summer weekend? Ok. Let’s forget all this.

ree

Can we pity them for having a large family at Christmas and Easter, four generations present in gatherings with sumptuous meals? A place in the summer to reunite with uncles and cousins and roam the lovely hills of Scotland and if you ever get tired you can always scoot off for a romantic weekend in the Med “a deux” leaving the kids with trustworthy nannies and doting grandparents? All for free? Not good enough? Gimme a break. Meghan and Harry’s solution for their children’s happiness is to bring them up with no family in plastic La La Land surrounded by celebrity brats.

Great thinking, guys.

Meghan played the race card whining she was mistreated by the Royals and Britain because of color. Not true. She was enthusiastically welcomed by both. This from a woman only part Black who opted, her choice mind you, to straighten her hair and change her nose. Not exactly an icon for Black Power.

She did though manage to seriously hurt Queen and country, the hand that fed them.

And then I had a heart attack.

To be continued……
